For all Ghanaians who are concerned about whether they will be going down or not, the Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) has issued a statement assuring them of its full commitment to ensuring that there will be a stable power supply.

Dumsor is a Ghanaian term that means unstable power supply, especially when it is switched on and off intermittently in a short period. The ECG Central Region Public Relations Officer (PRO), Mr. Awal Boye, has told Kastle FM in an interview that there will be uninterrupted power supply this year.

“Electricity is very important in our daily work, whether it is used for business or for domestic activities. That is why we have incorporated good measures even though we are officially going to take a break as an ECG for the Christmas celebration, ”he said.

“However, taking a break does not mean that we have left the work we provide to our clients. We have reserve teams in the 10 districts of the Central Region. We have ECG staff that will work throughout the break to make sure that whenever there is a failure, they respond abruptly, ”he added.
