Ebusua Dwarfs goalkeeper Razak Issah says the goal set by the team is to finish in the top four this season.
The Cape Coast-based team began their league campaign with a 2-2 draw against Elmina Sharks at Cape Coast Sports Stadium on Sunday.
The dwarves were trailing 2-1 to Elmina Sharks in the game before Razak Issah introduced that beautiful unit with a few minutes to finish the process.
His goal has attracted the attention of the public due to his role as a goalkeeper, having scored from a set piece.
Speaking in an interview about the goal set by the club for the season, he said, “Our goal is to finish in the top four this season. Our management told us not to focus on the selloff but to focus on our next game.”
The goalkeeper also shared a few words about the goal from the set piece: “I was not afraid when I went after the ball. I told my teammates that if there was a free kick, I would score ”.
“This is not the first time I have done this. I scored against Liberty Professionals in the Standardization Committee Special Competition. So I had the courage to do it ”,
“It’s something I’ve been practicing, so I’m good at it,” he added.
The Ebusua Dwarfs travel to play Eleven Wonders in their match on the second day of the 2020/21 Ghana Premier League.
