There was drama at the Accra Sports Stadium on Friday after Legon Cities FC officials signaled the team bus to leave its players behind following the team’s loss to Ebusua Dwarfs in the Ghana Premier League.
The Royals suffered their third loss of the season after falling 2-1 against Ebusua Dwarfs in Week 6 of the season.
The dwarves were largely the better team in the first half, with a double through Benjamin Acquah.
Legon Cities FC defender Joseph Adjei scored what proved to be a comfort from a point of view at the halftime.
The loss appears to have hit the team officials as relegation looms.
The club officials showed their anger at the disappointing performance of the team after ordering their bus to leave the stadium without the players.
Journalists at the scene were shocked by the incident.
Legon Cities FC languishes at the bottom of the standings with just 3 points from 6 matches.
