The Executive Director of the Nation Builders Corps (NABCO), Dr. Ibrahim Anyars, has emphatically stated that the program was a timely intervention that has rescued more than 100,000 unemployed graduates and Ghanaian youth in general.
According to Dr. Anyars, NABCO has been the panacea so far for tackling the problem of graduate unemployment for a long time.
Dr. Anyars made this known in a statement issued Wednesday. Therefore, it has tasked the main opposition NDC with finding a better alternative because legalizing Okada cannot beat a major problem-solving program like NABCO.
Dr. Anyars made it clear that as CEO of NABCO, he is driven by President Akufo-Addo’s clear vision for the youth of Ghana to ensure a better future.
Achievements
Here are some of the accomplishments of Dr. Anyars from NABCO described:
“NABCO has positioned our youth and created better opportunities for them. The unemployed graduate who had no work experience in 2016, can now boast 3 years of work experience.
… Most of our apprentices have learned on the job, developed their experience and apply their skills in their workplaces. Many who could not go out to socialize because they had no answer to the question; Where do you work?
… Now they can take a bold step because they have an identity. The smile on the faces of our youth at the end of the month when stipends are paid is priceless. NABCO has brought stability and financial security to our youth. ”
He said that several scholarship holders have been placed in the various institutions, both in the public and private sectors, to contribute to the construction of the nation; the inspiration of the mantra: we are nation builders.
Dr. Anyars expressed his sincere appreciation to the President of the Republic Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo for his consideration that has provided the graduates with the necessary resources to change the fortunes of this country.
“I read and heard from one of our former presidents, his plight to replace NABCO with an unsustainable and risky initiative. The hard work and dedication of our apprentices not only make us proud to have solved graduate unemployment, but we are also pleased to have been able to improve public service delivery, improve skills and employability, among others, ”he said.
