The Eastern Region branch of the New Patriotic Party calls on Okyeman’s chiefs and people not to validate the actions of former President John Dramani Mahama by embarking on a demonstration.

An alleged ethnocentric post by Bolgatanga central deputy Isaac Adongo, which was shared by the NDC standard bearer, has angered the people of Okyeman who are threatening to demonstrate on Tuesday, September 8, 2020.

But in an interview with Okay FM, David Prah, the NPP’s Eastern Regional Communications Director, urged the chief and his people not to embark on the exercise.

He noted that a demonstration against Mahama and the NDC will be a sign that the city and the NPP are participating in Mahama’s intentions to divide the country along tribal lines.

He said the former president is characterized by being tribalist and is not surprised by his latest actions.

“If I were him, I would apologize, but if he says he won’t apologize, I wish him well. You should go ahead and use other tribes for your policy. You should continue and no one will do anything to you. I have heard that Akyem youth want to go to a demonstration, we ask them not to do any demonstration. We just ask that nobody do anything to him. “

“This is someone who dug eight graves for Atta Mills. When asked by Ghanaians, she said that Ghanaians don’t make sense. It’s in their DNA. That’s who he is. It is difficult to change it ”. The former president has always been praised as an excellent communicator, but David Prah has scorned those praise.

He alludes that if Mahama were as good a communicator as he claimed to be, he would not have made certain communication errors.

He regretted that Mahama’s communication reeks of insults and attacks on personalities.

“People say he is a good communicator, within the NDC he may be their communicator, but he is not a good communicator. His communication is full of insults and he shows no political ability. That’s too bad. Those who can advise him should do so, but we in the PNP wish him the best, ”he said.

Despite the plethora of condemnations and apology requests made to John Dramani Mahama, his assistant Edudzi Tamakloe says there are no apologies on the table when it comes to this issue.

He said on Okay FM that the NPP and Akufo-Addo lack the moral nerve to demand an apology from Mahama.
