Bishop Charles Agyinasare, Presiding Bishop of Perez Chapel International, has informed Professor Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang, running mate of the NDC that, as a man of God, he will speak out when the NDC is in government and does not do what it is. Right.

Agyinasare told Naana Opoku-Agyemang that she hopes that if something like this happens, “The attack dogs in your group will not unleash on me! Of course, in the unlikely event that it happens, I will not be silenced. “

Bishop Charles Agyinasare said this when he welcomed Professor Opoku-Agyemang and some furry from NDC to the Perez Dome on Sunday, November 15.

Agyinasare noted that since being named running mate to John Dramani Mahama, Professor Opoku-Agyemang has performed well in her campaigns.

“Professor, I have followed you briefly from the moment you were elected NDC running mate and how you have conducted yourself and your campaign. I have not heard or read reports from him that he has used insulting or abusive language with his political opponents, and this is commendable, “said Agyinasare.

“Thank you for that exemplary conduct. As a Christian and a member of the Methodist Church, the behavior you have displayed is very refreshing, so please continue. “

The man of God indicated that since the entry into force of the fourth republican Constitution in 1992, there have been tensions and threats of violence in the country every election year, this says it is regrettable.

“In the next few days ahead, we will go to the polls to elect our leaders who will lead the nation for the next four years. It is regrettable that each election season in this nation has been characterized by so much tension and threats of violence. Since 1992, this has been the unfortunate cycle that we have had to endure as citizens of this great nation, ”he said.

Bishop Agyinasare continued: “Let me take this opportunity, once again, to warn our politicians, especially the two main political parties, the PNP and the NDC, that this year’s elections must not unleash violence on us. Political parties must not let loose, thugs and vigilante groups on ordinary people. Let’s experience a high level of civility on December 7 and beyond.

“I hope and pray that the security agencies and the Election Commission do a very professional and impartial job. They must not favor or support any particular political party over the other. Unfortunately, this has been one of the main causes of political violence in other jurisdictions, ”he added.
