In 2016, the then US presidential contestant, Donald Trump, continued to insist that if he lost the November 3, 2016 election, to his Democratic political rival, Mrs. Hillary Clinton, he would not accept the results. He claimed that losing to her would mean that he had indulged in fraudulent means to win the election. However, post-election revelations that he won were purported to indicate that he had resorted to dubious means to win it. Remember the alleged Russian connection that facilitated his victory but later became a subject of investigation?
President Donald Trump repeated the same prank in 2020. He said he would not accept any fraudulent election results pronounced in favor of his Democratic presidential candidate if he, Donald Trump, loses the election. He has lost the election to his rival Joe Biden and has been doing his madness ever since. He has been accusing him of rigging the elections, making unsubstantiated claims of voter fraud but without providing hard evidence. He’s been trying to goad his supporters and Republican members of Congress and the Senate to rebel in his support, and at the same time get bogus people to go to court claiming they saw Democrats rig the election for Joe Biden, but all it was in vain. .
All your reckless attempts to get the results back in your favor keep failing, no matter how hard you try. His lies fly in his face, reducing him to a laughing stock, a disgusting entity set to be ousted from the White House on January 20, 2021, either by his agreement or against his wish, but in strict accordance with the American constitution. .
In Ghana, John Dramani Mahama, who was running for the presidency on the 2020 NDC ballot as a return contestant, sadly emulated Donald Trump, swallowing his arguments and deceptions. Mahama in the months leading up to the elections began to proclaim that he would not accept any fraudulent electoral results and that the Electoral Commission was in bed with the PNP, and surely, he was going to steal the elections for the PNP.
His knowledge of collusion with former Election Commission Chair Ms Charlotte Osei to manipulate elections for him and the NDC in 2016, but failing to persecute him, hence his proclamation emanated from his guilty conscience . How could he predict that the elections would be rigged by Ms. Jean Mensah, the president of the Electoral Commission, saying that she would not accept the results?
Would you not accept the results if you had won as Donald Trump did in the United States in November 2016 when he won the election after all his baseless alarmist accusations and threats to the contrary? Didn’t Mahama and the NDC have polling officers in the 38,000 known and unique polling stations in Ghana for the 2020 elections? Didn’t you train your electoral agents to be observers, count the votes, and sign the pink sheets after the counts have been certified by all recognized electoral agents and the Election Commission Returns Officer? Weren’t NDC agents supposed to have copies of the pink sheets and were they asked to contest the results at polling stations if irregularities were found at the polls? If they had all the processes in place, how could the Electoral Commission manipulate the elections for the PNP and Nana Akufo-Addo?
NPP did not steal the election. Ms. Jean Mensah did not manipulate the elections for the PNP and President Nana Akufo-Addo. If the election was rigged, or attempted to rig, it was by the NDC for the NDC and John Dramani Mahama. Why did an EC presiding or returning official named Mary Adatsi hand out the ballots to voters with that number one portion of Nana Akufo-Addo ripped off the ballot? Who was she serving if not Mahama’s? Let common sense prevail and you will know in favor of who performed that malicious intent or exercise. She was not the only one who did that, but someone else in the northern part of Ghana and probably many in other polling stations.
Again, why was it that at a polling station in the Volta region, there was a ballot with John Mahama’s fingerprints and another poster requiring voters to vote for Mahama posted on the walls of the voting booth on May Day. the elections? Wasn’t this a violation of the electoral rules? Did that offense not favor John Mahama?
Could the NDC and John Mahama go out and swear on the Bible, the Qur’an and the gods, deities and so-called powerful river spirits in Ghana who did not bribe some voters, polling station officers, and presiding or returning officials? Election to allow themselves to commit infractions that would improve the chances of the NDC and John Mahama winning the election?
John Mahama is right that he lost the election, he tried as he dubiously did. Is it not said: “Man proposes and God disposes”?
Just as Donald Trump laughs without accomplishing his diabolical intent, so will John Mahama, the unprecedentedly corrupt, incompetent, shortsighted and lawless president in the annals of Ghanaian politics.
The laws will surely catch up with it. Now, his presidential immunity from prosecution has expired and he is afraid of possible prosecution. The equally questionable character Martin Amidu is no longer the Special Prosecutor to play delaying tactics to protect him.
What a coincidence? Both Donald Trump and John Mahama have terrifying skeletons in their cabinets that they don’t want the courts to see, hence the stubborn attitudes they are adopting following their electoral defeat. However, the investigators, if not the courts, already know them and will surely hold them accountable.
John Mahama must be a man who will suffer the repercussions of his stinking robberies on the Ghanaians and the country.
