Ghanaian lawyer and accounting professor, Stephen Kwaku Asare Ghanaian lawyer and accounting professor, Stephen Kwaku Asare

Stephen Kwaku Asare, a United States-based Ghanaian lawyer and accounting professor, has revealed what he believes to be the gaps in the evidence supporting claims about the beleaguered Auditor General’s alleged retirement.

According to a forensic audit conducted by the lawyer, also known as Kwaku Azar, the petitioners hastily failed to completely cover up the traces of their fabricated evidence against Daniel Domelevo, insisting that a document showing the latter’s SSNIT number was acquired. illegally and posted on Facebook.

“All SSNIT numbers tell a story. The SSNIT number here is E106106010014. For ordinary eyes, this means nothing. But to GOGO’s eye, this means E = Eastern Region 10 = District 10 61 = 1961 06 = June 1 = 1 The cardholder was born on June 1, 1961. In the rush to destroy, who altered the DOB did not alter the SS #.

Usually I will ask for a full investigation to identify those behind this plot. But this is Ghana. I won’t waste my time !!

I only ask that people of good will refuse the invitation to get on the train to destroy people for a few miserable cedis, ”wrote Professor Kwaku Asare on Facebook. SSNIT records produced by the Audit Service posted below

The supposed SSNIT document in evidence

President Nana Akufo Addo has asked the embattled Auditor General, Daniel Yao Domelevo, to stop showing himself as such.

According to a letter signed by the Secretary of the President, Nana Asante Bediatuo, the attention of the President has been drawn to the records and documents made available by the Audit Service, which indicate the date of birth of Mr. Domelevo on June 1, 1960, and in accordance with Article 199 (1) of the Constitution, his retirement date as Auditor General was June 1, 2020.

Based on this information, the president is of the opinion that you have formally stepped down from office. Mr. Johnson Akuamoa-Asiedu will continue to serve as Auditor General until the President appoints a substantive Auditor General, ”the letter read.

The Audit Service Board questions Domelevo’s nationality and date of birth

The Audit Service Board wrote to President Akufo-Addo days ago challenging the nationality of the embattled Auditor General Daniel Yao Domelevo.

The board also wrote to Mr. Domelevo expressing concern about his date of birth and claiming that he has reached retirement age.

In recent correspondence, the board stated: “The Social Security and National Security Trust (SSNIT) records completed and signed by you indicate your date of birth as June 1, 1960 when you joined the scheme on October 1, 1960. 1978. Records show that you declared that your tribe was Togolese and not Ghanaian, that your hometown is Agbatofe.

“On October 25, 1992, he completed and signed an SSNIT beneficiary change nomination form, indicating his nationality as Ghanaian and his hometown as Ada in the Greater Accra region. The date of birth on his Ghanaian passport number A45800, issued on February 28, 1996, is June 1, 1961. That place of birth is indicated as Kumasi, Ashanti region ”.

Critics, including anti-corruption activists, say the pushy decision smacks of harassing Domelevo from office.

Johnson Akuamoa-Asiedu will continue to act in Domelevo’s stead until a substantive appointment is made.
