In an interview on Rainbow radio, he explained that he was very disappointed when he discovered that a musician had to pay before releasing his creative albums.

He noted that when he came to Ghana to find out what was going on, he was shocked because he came back with so many ideas, but only to realize that the system has changed with so many private media houses.

His comment came after a question asked about why he hasn’t released any albums after releasing his best album ‘Baya’ in 1987.

Ben Brako stressed that he came to Ghana with hope, but when he became aware of the ‘Payola’ phenomenon, he had no choice but to go abroad.
