The leaders of Diego Simeone’s table are heading to the Basque Country in search of getting ahead of Real Madrid in the race for the La Liga title.
However, the Argentine coach will not have two of the four from his first pick, with Savic and Trippier suspended, according to Marca reports.
Savic misses out after getting his fifth booking for the 2020/21 league in a 1-0 win over Getafe in their final match of 2020.
Trippier has been omitted after FIFA’s decision to suspend its ban related to betting infringements, imposed by the English FA, was received too late to be included.
Mexican international Héctor Herrera is also out, with a minor injury, but key pair Saúl Niguez and Luis Suárez are fit to travel with the team.
