The general secretary of the ruling New Patriotic Party (PNP), John Boadu, says the secretary general of the major opposition NDC, Johnson Asiedu Nketia, may be suffering from “amnesia.”
According to him, the NDC scribe has either refused to be honest with Ghanaians or is deliberately moving away from the truth.
He was reacting to the claims of the NDC’s Chief Scribe that the ruling nuclear power plant has a trademark in the disruption of the campaign of its political opponents.
Speaking on Okay FM’s ‘Ade Akye Abia’ show, John Boadu claimed that the label fits the NDC better and recalled some Chereponi political incidents to underscore his point.
“In Chereponi during the by-elections, after both parties agreed to have their final rallies on different dates, the NDC ruined our rally, almost causing some people to lose their lives had it not been for Professor Frimpong Boateng. you blame because they are the worst culprits when it comes to some of these things …
“What both political parties should learn to do is learn to cooperate. The police are sometimes very engaged with us as political parties, so we should learn to appreciate and show respect and not blame any political party when things like that happen. nature, “he added.
Johnson Asiedu Nketia, earlier this week, alleged that the New Patriotic Party (PNP) through the governments of former President John Agyekum Kufu or that of the current administration, Nana Akufo-Addo have the propensity to derail the campaign of the main NDC opponent.
According to the Chief Scribe of the NDC, the PNP is intolerant of the opinions and campaign messages of its political opponents.
Alluding to a recent incident in the Ashanti region regarding the NDC’s intention to organize a health walk to spark the enthusiasm of its supporters, General Mosquito, as he is popularly called, speaking on the morning show ‘Ade Akye Abia ‘on Okay FM, accused the ruling party of deliberate sabotage of the NDC’s campaign activities.
“Just one day before we (NDC) were about to embark on a health walk, the same police who had already given us the authorization drew the attention of one of our MPs to the fact that the vice president is in Kumasi And as part of your activity lineup, you are about to participate in a health walk and will use the same route that we intend to use. So we had to suspend ours to make room for nuclear power plants … this is not the first time that the ruling nuclear power plant has disrupted our campaign activities. . . Why is the vice president above the law? This is the trademark of NPP; They like to do this all the time and these are the things that fuel electoral violence and that is why I want Ghanaians to know.
“. . had the NDC not turned a blind eye to some of the nuclear power plant’s actions, all hell would have broken out recently in the Ashanti region. Whenever the PNP is in power, we do not know if it is due to the lack of a convincing campaign message or what, all means will try to scuttle our electoral plans, ”he enraged.
“We have experienced and endured this type of behavior from the era of former President Kufuor to this day and it is still happening, so I will plead with the PNP that if they know that they have performed credibly as a government, they should allow Los Ghanaians must judge and see if they will have their vote on December 7. . . ”He added.
The NDC secretary general subsequently warned that the continued action of the PNP is a recipe for electoral chaos, adding that the opposition party, when in government, never engaged in inferior communist tactics during elections only to cling to the power.
He was emphatic that the opposition party will ignore the police demand to reschedule his health walk.
