Real Madrid winger Dani Carvajal has spoken of Real Madrid’s desire to fight for every available title this season despite its slow start. Speaking with Marca, he revealed that he is on track to recover after his injury and that the team spirit within the camp is in a good place.
“I’m much better,” he said. “My internal ligament was completely torn and the initial recovery period was expected to be ten weeks. This Friday I’ll do six weeks, but I’m fine. Born in Leganés, Carvajal went through the Real Madrid quarry but left for Bayer Leverkusen in Germany without playing with the first team. He spent only one season in the Bundesliga before earning a transfer back to the Spanish capital, where he has played ever since.
Carvajal has won two LaLiga, the Copa del Rey, four Champions League, three European Super Cups and four Club World Cups. With Spain, he won the U19 European Championship in 2011 and the U21 edition two years later. Since then, the right-back has become an integral part of the Spanish setup, winning 25 caps for The Red since 2014.
