The secretary general of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Mr. Johnson Asiedu Nketia, popularly known as General Mosquito, has advised electorates to curse any politician who approaches them to buy votes.
According to him, for four years, politicians who were given the power and money to help in the development of the town have sat on the money, but they will come after four years to distribute money and other materials to buy votes.
For him, it is imperative that these monies and material things given to the electorates are taken and when they are asked to swear, they must agree but also curse the politician if the money that is distributed is for the taxpayer.
“The politicians will come to you after four years, when they have enjoyed power, and they will give you money for you to vote for them. They will buy cloth, rice, and other material things to encourage you to vote for them.
“When they bring the money, take the money and agree to curse themselves that they will vote for them, but they will also curse the politician that if the money that you are giving them is money intended for development or the taxpayer, then you should bring the rest of the money or it will also be treated by the gods, ”he told electorates in Jomoro in the Western Region.
