Three minutes.
That’s the time it took Cristiano Ronaldo to score after coming back from contracting coronavirus.
The Juventus star had missed the previous four games after suffering from Covid-19, including the midweek clash against Lionel Messi’s Barcelona.
The Portuguese superstar couldn’t hide her frustrations and took to social media to express her displeasure after testing positive for the third time on Tuesday night.
However, after two long weeks of being a ‘caged animal’, Ronaldo was ready to return to action when Juventus traveled to Spezia.
In a statement earlier this week, the Italian club confirmed the good news.
The Juventus statement read: “Cristiano Ronaldo performed a checkup with a diagnostic test (swab) for Covid 19.
“The examination was negative. The player therefore recovered after 19 days and is no longer subject to home isolation.”
Ronaldo was named to the substitute bench and had to wait until the 56th minute to be introduced.
Would the 35-year-old show signs of a lack of physical fitness after his battle with a deadly virus?
Yes of course…
In three minutes, Ronaldo grabbed onto Álvaro Morata’s pass and put Juventus 2-1 ahead.
Sparkly.
Not even the coronavirus can stop Ronaldo.
After Adrian Rabiot put Juve ahead 3-1, Ronaldo added the second of the match with a blatant Panenka penalty.
Ronaldo is back and everything is fine again.
