Create More Jobs in Your Second Term: Cape Coast Residents Go to Government | General news

Residents of the Cape Coast metropolis have tasked the next new patriotic government with creating more jobs in their second term to reduce the high unemployment rate in the country.

They said that the increasing rate of social vices and among other bad behaviors that are perpetuated in various communities are due to unemployment in the Metropolitan Area.

They praised the government of the nuclear power plant led by Akufo Addo for implementing established projects to engage Ghanaian citizens to maintain their livelihoods.

In an interview with the Ghana News Agency (GNA) in Cape Coast, Madam Afua Dadzie, a fishmonger, indicated that although the NPP had helped make life a bit more comfortable, there was a need to continue their good works.

“After the president took office in 2021, he should help young people by building more factories in the country and also help us in our fishing work,” he said.

Ms Dadzie added that young people, as the future leaders of the country, should be given more attention to reduce deviant behavior in society.

Madame Dadzie urged all political parties to put aside their differences and support the president to promote peace and unity in the country.

Mr Emmanuel Ntiful, a carpenter, said Cape Coast needed its own involvement in the ‘One District One factory’ project and urged everyone to realize the government’s visions.

Ms. Olivia Odoom, a merchant after expressing dissatisfaction in the incumbent government, also hopes that things will improve in the next four years.
