The All People’s Congress (APC) presidential candidate, Mr. Hassan Ayariga, has said that the COVID-19 pandemic prevented him from covering the entire country with his campaign and therefore begged the electorate to vote for him to become the next President of Ghana.

Ayariga, in a voice memo copied to ClassFMonline.com, said that Ghanaians want change and that he is the best candidate to lead the country for the next four years.

He called for peaceful elections and expressed his confidence in winning.

The APC standard-bearer said: “I wish you all a peaceful election and I call for all of us to come out and vote in peace to make Ghana a peaceful country. I ask that APC and Hassan Ayariga have worked hard, but we still have challenges. We have not been able to reach everyone.

“We ask you to understand that COVID-19 has affected all our campaigns and for that matter, those of you who did not see us in your communities or towns or one by one, we ask you to ignore it and believe that the The vast majority of the Ghanaians wants a change and wants Hassan Ayariga to be the next president of the republic. So, let’s vote number 7 on the ballot for Hassan Ayariga and APC … ”

“I wish you all good luck and I urge you all to vote for Hassan Ayariga. I want peaceful elections … let’s not look for excuses not to vote and let’s find a reason to vote for APC and Hassan Ayariga, “he added.

Today, around 17,027,971 eligible Ghanaian voters are expected to cast their ballots, as part of the process of electing a new president and 275 new members of Parliament for a new four-year term.
