After spending the last two seasons with Birmingham City, Lee Camp is back at St Andrew’s

Coventry has signed Northern Ireland international goalkeeper Lee Camp as a free agent on a two-month deal.

The 36-year-old former Derby County, QPR, Nottingham Forest, Rotherham United and Birmingham City goalkeeper has appeared as a cover after Marko Marosi suffered a broken cheekbone.

Camp had been without a club since leaving Birmingham on 1 August following the expiration of his contract.

But now he’s back at St Andrew’s, Coventry’s temporary home.

Camp spent two seasons with the Blues as a starting goalkeeper, making 86 appearances in all competitions after signing a free transfer after a year on the bench with Cardiff City.

He has also accumulated time at Burton Albion (loan), Norwich City (loan), West Bromwich Albion, AFC Bournemouth and Sunderland (loan).

The Sky Blues, who are in position 21 in the championship, go this Saturday to one of the old clubs of the Camp, the leader of the Norwich championship.

The only other available goalkeeper from Coventry is Ben Wilson. who came into the final three minutes after Marosi’s injury time collision with Cardiff captain Sean Morrison.
