Ayawaso West Wuogon constituency deputy, Ms Lydia Seyram Alhassan, has expressed her satisfaction regarding the ongoing special voting exercise.
Praising the EC for implementing all the necessary and security protocols, Ms. Alhassan promoted the exercise at the Legon Police voting station as something simple.
In an interaction with GhanaWeb on Tuesday December 1, MP from Ayawaso West Wuogon said: “So far, the special voting exercise is running smoothly and I congratulate the EC officials for the good work so far. The COVID-19 security protocols are being complied with, all the necessary materials for the elections have been delivered and I am happy with everything so far ”.
Ms. Alhassan took the opportunity to urge her constituents to preach a message of peace during and after the elections.
“I am committed to ensuring the peace that the Ayawaso West Wuggon constituency has always enjoyed and I also want to urge my constituents to continue to preach a peach message during and after the elections. Ghana is the only country we have and we all have the right to join any political party of our choice, ”he advised.
The special voting exercise began today at 7 am at selected polling stations in 275 electoral districts across the country.
The exercise will have a total of 109,577 officials made up of security agencies, Electoral Commission personnel and Journalists who will cast their presidential and parliamentary votes for the main general elections on December 7.
