Aleksandar Kolarov looks like he will miss Inter’s Champions League clash with Real Madrid, while Marcelo Brozovic is also a doubt after the covid-19 positives.

Real Madrid and Inter Milan will meet again in the Champions League next week in a fundamental match for both teams’ commitment to qualify for the knockout stages of Group B and Zinedine Zidane and Antonio Conte will have to wait to see if players key are available after several positive tests for COVID-19 in both fields.

A statement from Inter said: “FC Internazionale Milano can confirm Aleksandar Kolarov tested positive yesterday while going through the controls upon his return from international service.

“The player, who is totally asymptomatic, will now follow all the guidelines and procedures established by the health protocol.”

Kolarov has made six appearances in all competitions for Inter this season, creating eight chances and providing one assist.

The only Nerazzurri defenders who have provided the most key passes are Achraf Hakimi and Ashley Young. (both 10), and they have also scored two goals each.

However, Hakimi has appeared in nine games and Young has appeared in seven.
