Legon Cities Communications Director Kwame Dwomoh-Agyemang has revealed that new coach Bashiru Hayford will officially begin his duties in his matchday four match against Dreams FC in the 2020/21 Ghana Premier League.
The experienced coach replaces Bosnian coach Goran Barjaktarevic, who was sacked by the club following their 3-0 loss to the Olympics on matchday two of the Ghana Premier League.
Former Asante Kotoko manager will take over the club for the 2020/21 Ghana Premier League season.
“Yes, we have appointed Bashiru Hayford as our new coach until the end of the season,” he told the media.
“He believes in our project and I am sure that is why he agreed to be our coach until the end of the season. With the current crop of players we have, he can help us reach our goal. “
Legon Cities will be coached by the assistant coach before their third game of the day against Medeama SC on Friday at Accra Sports Stadium.
The Legon Cities remain winless in the current Ghana Premier League campaign.
The Royals hope to secure a win against Malva and Amarillos in the match.
Legon Cities lost to Medeama in their last meeting between the two sides at Accra Sports Stadium in the truncated league.
