Former Ghana Soccer Association Vice President Joseph Ade Coker says Black Stars Charles Akonnor is far from a world-class coach to attract a staggering $ 25,000 as a monthly salary.
The outspoken politician claims that the former Ghana international does not deserve the amount he is being paid because he lacks global influence.
He says that rewarding a “white male certified black coach” with huge sums of money is irrational.

The tough and outspoken politician insists that it is ridiculous for a national team coach to receive a higher salary than Ghanaian leader Nana Akufo Addo.
Ade Coker has entered the debate after current Black Stars coach CK Akonnor was forced to accept a pay cut of 40% of his monthly salary of $ 25,000.
Akonnor has agreed to accept the pay cut ahead of his first official match against Mali in an international friendly next month.
The former Asante Kotoko coach who was appointed earlier this year receives a monthly salary of $ 25,000.
