CID invites Inusah Fuseini for asking Mahama to declare himself president and form a parallel government

The Criminal Investigations Department (CID) of the Ghana Police Service has extended an invitation to the MP of Tamale Central for questioning.

Inusah Fuseini is being invited by a statement he allegedly made on Pan African Television.

He is alleged to have said: “I have said and advocated that the standard-bearer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) John Dramani Mahama and the former President of the Republic of Ghana declare themselves president and form a parallel government.”

In a letter addressed to the President of Parliament, the Director General of the CID, COP Isaac Ken Yeboah, stated that the police are investigating the case and will need the legislator from Tamale Central to assist in the investigations.

“We would appreciate it if you would release the aforementioned Member of Parliament to report to the CID from the Director of Operations at CID Headquarters, Second Floor, Room Two on Thursday, December 24 at 10 am to assist in the investigations,” he says. the letter read.

Meanwhile, the Tamale Sur legislator has confirmed that he has received the notice and will honor the invitation.

Following the declaration of the 2020 presidential elections in favor of Nana Akufo-Addo of the New Patriotic Party, the NDC has severely criticized the result claiming that they have been misled.

Party leaders, however, have not yet confirmed whether they would seek legal redress.

But today, they have taken to the streets across the country to convey their discontent.
