The Chinese government presented its second batch of medical supplies to the Ministry of Health on Wednesday to support Ghana in the fight against the Covid-19 pandemic.
The supplies consisted of 20,000 N-95 protective masks, 350,000 surgical masks and 10,000 disposable overalls, 15,000 of medical glasses, disposable gloves and 3,000 disposable shoe covers.
The Charge d’Affaires of the Chinese Embassy, Mr. Zhu Jing, delivered the supplies to the Ministry represented by the Vice Minister of Health, Dr. Bernard Oko-Boye, in a short ceremony in Accra.

According to Dr. Oko-Boye, the current number of active cases of 564 people in the last update was inspiring and encouraging and urged Ghanaians to continue to observe all safety and hygiene protocols, including the mandatory use of face masks and the rule of social distancing. , to help maintain the achievements.
The Vice Ministry of Health, however, warned Ghanaians against complacency, saying that the war was not over yet and that “Covid-19 is one of the few situations in which one man’s caution is not enough, but all they must be interested in the safety of others, as the recklessness of one person could ruin all the important things that have been put in place. “
He said the Chinese government donation echoed the fact that the war was not over yet, and called on the media to maintain education and advocacy against Covid-19-related stigma and timely notification of cases for save lifes.
