Chelsea rumor rises linking Rams to defense

Derby County are one of three championship clubs interested in signing Chelsea side Baba Rahman on loan, according to reports.

The Rams have just one week left to complete their transfer business, and the national window will close on Friday, October 16.

The expanded window means that championship clubs can still make deals with Premier League teams until that date, despite the main transfer window closing on Monday.

Derby is looking for a forward in the final days of the window with ties to West Bromwich Albion’s Charlie Austin and Aston Villa’s Kienan Davis.

Rams sent a transfer message through Wilson

Former Derby loan holder Harry Wilson could be loaned out to a championship club after he failed to secure a move in the Premier League on Monday.

Burnley was reportedly the closest to sealing a move for the Welsh international, but failed to match Liverpool’s valuation of Wilson.

Wilson has been left out of Liverpool’s 25-man squad for the Champions League with only 11 days left until Premier League clubs have to do the same for the league.

According to the Evening standard , Wilson could be ready to return to the championship now that the door has been closed to a transfer to another top-notch club.

Liverpool urged to complete ‘perfect’ transfer

There is talk of a return to the Derby for Wilson, something that seemed unthinkable last summer.

Wilson was coming off the back of an 18-goal season for Frank Lampard’s swashbuckling Rams, his first full championship campaign and when he returned to Anfield a new contract and a Premier League play were signed on the cards.

That move by Prem came about, and the 23-year-old spent the previous season on loan at AFC Bournemouth.

In 35 appearances he scored seven times and had two assists when the Cherries’ season ended in relegation and coach Eddie Howe’s departure.

Former Rams forward completes his move

Former Derby striker Cameron Jerome has signed with League One’s MK Dons.

The 34-year-old was a free agent after leaving Turkish club Goztepe SK in the summer and has now moved back to England.

Jerome played for the Derby for six months between January 2018 and August 2018, scoring six goals and providing an assist in his 20 appearances with the club before departing for Turkey.

The forward scored the same number of goals in six appearances for the Turkish club last season.
