Finally, Ghana has welcomed a new queen for the Miss Universe pageant.
Chelsea Tayui, 25, is Miss Universe Ghana 2020. She was crowned in a private ceremony held at the Labadi Beach Hotel and broadcast on Joy Prime TV on Saturday, September 26, 2020.
Chelsea is a communications executive and has been working with an NGO before Miss Universe. She is from Keta in the Volta region of Ghana.
After her coronation, she expressed her gratitude to the organizers of the Miss Universe pageant and to the public.
“I would like to thank my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, without whom this would not be possible. To the Ms. Universe Ghana team and leadership, Mrs. Menaye Muntari, I thank you for your excellence and the best delivery of professionalism in your class. I thank my parents and my family without whom I cannot fly. I am committed to working tirelessly to bring a spirit of compassion and service to the people of Ghana and to represent my beautiful country internationally with all the glory it deserves. I am honored by the trust you have given me and will use it with all the honor and dignity it deserves. I am here to serve. “
She will represent Ghana in the international Miss Universe pageant scheduled for early next year. Congratulations to the new queen.
