The youth of Chelsea and Tottenham have teamed up to help spread some Christmas cheer to underprivileged Londoners.
Rising prospects Chelsea and Dynel Simeu of England and Spurs defender Tobi Omole took time out to support community organization Safe House London’s third Christmas gift drive.
The defensive duo’s management company, Elite Project Group, whose client list includes Three Lions stars Jadon Sancho and Bukayo Saka, backed the initiative to offer gifts to the less fortunate in East London in an act of festive generosity. that they were especially interested in doing this year. to boost morale amid the coronavirus crisis.
They got gifts from all of their player sponsors, which also include the likes of Eddie Nketiah, Reiss Nelson, Alex Iwobi, and Todd Cantwell, donating boots, sneakers, clothing and other gifts to donate to those in need.
Simeu, the England U-18 center-back, who came to Chelsea’s bench in the Champions League last season and selected the U-23s, and Omole, who recently traded Arsenal for Spurs, were on hand to help wrap and deliver the gifts to the Hackney-based Safehouse.
EPG football consultant Eddie Bonsu said: ‘This is something very dear to our hearts. We’ve been doing it for years with some of the players and this year, especially with what’s been going on with covid, we really wanted to have a massive impact on the community, as this is something we’ve all grown up with.
“We come from humble origins, so the little we can give back is huge for us. It’s an incredible gesture from the players and I hope that the little we do can contribute a lot to the local community. ”
