Arturo Vidal, a former Barcelona star, will have enjoyed the opportunity to face Real Madrid again.
Inter Milan took on Zinedine Zidane’s men in the Champions League on Wednesday night, but the night got off to a rocky start for the Nerazzurri.
Nacho won a penalty for the visitors and Eden Hazard converted to put Real 1-0 up.
However, things got even worse for Vidal on a personal level when he was booked after half an hour.
The Chilean had fallen in the area after fighting Luka Modric (come on Arturo) and was enraged when Anthony Taylor signaled to continue the game.
The British referee then proceeded to search the midfielder for dissent.
But that did not calm things down. Vidal persisted with his protests and within 10 seconds, he was sent to take an early bath.
The 33-year-old reacted with fury and stood up in the referee’s face. Clearly, his feelings towards Real have not been tempered and he totally lost his mind in a match in which he should have been a key man for Inter.
Taylor may not be the most popular man in the Premier League, but he won’t be Milan’s toast tonight either.
