This is to notify the general public that the Cape Coast High Court has issued an injunction on the long-awaited demonstration by the Effutu constituency against the Ghana Election Commission. This was after the Ghana Police Service applied to the court for an Ex Parte court order.

The Effutu constituency, led by its 2020 parliamentary candidate, James Kofi Annan, and constituency executives, have planned a massive demonstration against the Election Commission led by Jean Mensa, in solidarity with their standard bearer, HE John Dramani Mahama, and Also against what they call “the Effutu ECOWAS Registry” in the Effutu constituency. They believe that the Effutu constituency voter registry is hugely overcrowded with imported voters from neighboring constituencies, and that the real winners of the 2020 presidential and parliamentary elections are James Kofi Annan and John Dramani Mahama respectfully, but for the record of Effutu ECOWAS, and Jean Lack of transparency of Mensa in the declaration of presidential results.

The planned demonstration was scheduled in Winneba for next Tuesday, January 5, 2021.

According to the district secretary, Abraham Arthur, the party called a general meeting (made up of all the executives of the branch) tomorrow Sunday to discuss and agree on the way forward and other lines of action.
