Danlad Ibrahim de hana was named Goalkeeper of the 2021 CAF U-20 Nations Cup tournament.
Glove man Asante Kotoko played a key role in the conquest of the Black Satellites by beating Uganda 2-0 on Saturday 6 March 2021 to win the competition that for the first time had 12 instead of eight teams.
His saves, agility and confidence between the sticks caught the attention of the tournament’s Technical Study Group (TSG).
Ibrahim conceded just three goals in six games and his heroism during the quarter-final penalty shootout against Cameroon proved crucial.
Little by little he is developing into a player with rich international experience after excelling in the African U-17 Championship and the FIFA U-17 World Cup.
The budding talent has grown into a decorated Ghanaian youth international.
At club level, Ibrahim is in the pecking order of the giants Asante Kotoko, but the loan to Berekum Chelsea last season was helpful.
It was the club’s first choice and produced impressive and consistent displays.
