Burna Boy earned a Grammy Award nomination for his new album Twice As Tall, his second in two years.

Twice As Tall has been nominated for Best Global Music Album along with four others.

They are “Fu Chronicles” by Antibalas, a Brooklyn-based Afrobeat band, “Agora” by Bebel Gilberto, a Brazilian singer, “Love Letters” by Anoushka Shankar, a British Indian sitar performer, and “Amadjar” by Tinariwen, a gang in northern Mali.

Twice As Tall, released on August 14, 2020, is a 15-track album executive produced by American singer-songwriter Diddy and Burna Boy’s mother and manager, Bose Ogulu.

It features British rapper Stormzy, Senegalese singer-songwriter Youssou N’Dour and Sauti Sol from Kenya.

It also features American producer and singer Chris Martin on the hit Monsters You Made that went viral during the EndSARS movement and protests in October.

This follows a year after he was first nominated for his fourth studio album African Giant released on July 26, 2019.

Burna Boy lost the award to Angelique Kidjo, who took home her fourth Grammy for her album Celia.
