Ghana international Bernard Tekpetey clinched a double for Ludogorets on Thursday afternoon when the team defeated Svoge 3-1 in the round of 16 of the Bulgarian Cup competition.
The former Ghana under-23 star joined the Bulgarian club last summer in a loan deal from Schalke 04 of the German Bundesliga.
Although it does not score consistently, it is always impressive when called to action.
Today, Bernard Tekpetey started for Ludogorets when the team invited Svoge in the Bulgarian Cup.
He scored two goals, the first of which came in the 18th minute to give the visiting team the lead at half-time.
His second came in the 57th minute to restore Ludogorets’ lead after Deyan Hristov scored within three minutes of the second half to tie Svoge.
With Claudiu Keseru also on the roster in the 60th minute, Ludogorets won 3-1 at the end of 90 minutes and advanced to the next stage of the Bulgarian Cup.
