Bernard Mornah loses PNC presidency to Moses Dani Baah

The president of the National People’s Congress (PNC), Bernard Mornah, was ousted from his position at the PNC National Delegates Conference, which just ended, on Wednesday.

He is succeeded by Moses Dani Baah, who obtained 1,297 votes, beating Mornah by 31 votes.

In her concession speech, Mornah urged the new leadership to do more to take the party to greater heights.

“I wish Moses Dani Baah, David Apasera and the rest of the team that he is elected the best in his tenure. I am hopeful that where we fail they will succeed and where we succeed they will magnify. Above all, I am hopeful that they will make the PNC a better political party than the one they have inherited.

Meanwhile, David Apasera emerged victorious in his bid to lead the PNC in the December 7 elections.

He beat his contenders, Samson Asaaki Awingobit and Rev. Samuel Adjei Baah in the polls.

While David Apasera got 1,315 votes, Samson Asaaki got 789 votes and Reverend Samuel Adjei Baah got 465 votes.
