Stephen Amankonah shot the home side forward in the 25th minute in the last game of the week.

The point won left the Blues in the bottom half of the record with 6 points, while the Fire guys now have 7 points.

The match started at a high pace with the home team being the most aggressive.

This resulted in Augustine Henneh picking the first yellow card for indiscipline in the 6th minute to the chagrin of the few fans in the stands.

Before that, visiting goalkeeper Joseph Addo made a brilliant save in an early attack to avoid conceding an early goal.

A well-executed plan at the rear meant that Aduana Stars talisman Yahaya Mohammed was well tamed by the experienced Edward Kpodo and his young Central defensive partner, Henry Ainsu.

The pressure paid dividends when Customs failed to properly deal with one of the attacks, resulting in Captain Amankonah stepping in from close up to record the first goal.

The challenge was well accepted, but Chelsea held tight to her baseline to finish the half.

In the second half, the equally experienced Customs attackers were quick to achieve parity.

An unmarked Bright Adjei had a simple task of heading for the net, beating the short stopper, Osei Kwadwo Bonsu, after the Bibires boys failed to cope with a challenge.

Both coaches’ effort to win the game, even after using all of their substitution cards, proved futile as each went home with one point.

Chelsea manager Abu Abdul-Hanan hopes to take advantage of the short Christmas break to get his boys in shape for his next game against AshantiGold in January 2021.

Chelsea’s Henry Ainsu was awarded NASCO’s Man of the Match.
