Benzema is ten games away from making history at Real Madrid – Ghana soccer latest news, live scores, results

Karim Benzema has already played 517 games for Real Madrid and needs another 10 ten to equal Roberto Carlos’ record from abroad for the most games played in the club’s history.

The Frenchman has just started his twelfth season at Los Blancos, whom he has represented since 2009, when he arrived from Lyon.

Benzema, who scored his 250th goal as a Real Madrid player against Levante, has been spectacular in his last two seasons.

In 2018/19, he scored 30 goals, which is his second best record after the 32 goals he achieved in 2011/12.

Last year, he scored 27 in 48 games, helping Real Madrid win the LaLiga Santander title.

With Zinedine Zidane, he has become an indisputable starter, restoring his coach’s confidence with his demonstrations on the field.

In fact, he has only missed five games in the last two seasons due to injury or turnover.

While Marcelo had a clear advantage in becoming the player who broke Roberto Carlos’s record, the Brazilian international has lost prominence in the last two seasons.

If there are no setbacks, Benzema will break the record in Real Madrid’s game against Alavés at the Alfredo di Stefano Stadium on the last weekend of November.

Meanwhile, Marcelo has left Zidane’s hierarchical order after the arrival of Ferland Mendy.

Despite not playing regularly, he has registered 510 games as a Real Madrid player although he has played three more seasons than Benzema in the LaLiga Santander Champions League.

The record that both Benzema and Marcelo may have difficulty breaking is that of the player with the most games played in the club’s history.

Raúl González tops the list with 741 games, while current Real Madrid captain Sergio Ramos is fourth with 654 games.
