President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has urged supporters of the New Patriotic Party to be “moderate and sensitive” in jubilation.

In a Facebook post, the president wrote: “When you win an election, you don’t need to be aggressive. Be of good character and wait for the Election Commission to declare. And when you are jubilant, be moderate and sensitive to public order.” and security. “

The president’s position comes as a result of EC-certified results that project a difference of 657,302 presidential votes between him and John Mahama of the Democratic National Congress.

The EC has so far certified results from 14 regions.

According to the figures, the NPP leads the results of the presidential elections with 5,067,445 votes against 4,410,143 for the NDC.

Meanwhile, NDC supporters have gathered at the EC headquarters to protest what they say is the people’s stolen verdict.

They claim that the president of the NDC, former president John Dramani Mahama won the election.

They have promised not to leave the EC headquarters until the EC president declares Mahama the winner of the presidential elections.
