A new meaning has emerged for the positions of the ruling NPP and the opposition NDC on the ballot, as Vice President Bawumia has explained that NPP’s number one position on the ballot signifies a step forward in the development of Ghana, while the number two position means two backs down in Ghana’s development.
The vice president made these comments during the launch of the ‘IAM4NANA’ fundraising campaign to support Nana Akufo-Addo ahead of the December elections.
“We don’t want to repeat that dance; one step forward two steps back. Interestingly, by the grace of God, when the voting numbers came in, he is number one. NDC is number two. If you choose NPP you are going to take a step forward. If you choose NDC, you will take two steps back. And that’s what it is. One step forward and two steps back.
That is the choice Ghanaians face, and we must ensure that we protect the gains that Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo’s leadership has brought to Ghanaians. We can’t risk our free SHS, jobs, NABCO and all the policies. “
The ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) today launched the ‘IAM4NANA’ fundraising campaign to support Nana Akufo-Addo ahead of the December elections.
The party has outlined a series of fundraising activities to support the campaign. Some of these platforms include the iam4nana.com website, shortcode, polling station adoption, among others.
