Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia has commissioned an administration block and facilities including lecture rooms for the Anhwiaso College of Science, located in the Bibiani Anhwiaso Bekwai constituency of the North West region.
The school is the first tertiary institution in the traditional Anhwiaso area and was built with funds from the National Health Insurance Authority (NHIA).
Vice President Bawumia conducted commissioning on Monday, November 2, 2020, at the beginning of a two-day working visit to the region, during which he would visit a number of constituencies, commission a number of projects, and make courtesy visits to the chiefs and peoples of the region.
An enthusiastic Ogyeahohoo Yaw Gyebi II, Supreme Head of the Sefwi Anhwiaso Traditional Area, who is also Chairman of the North West Region House of Chiefs, praised the Akufo-Addo administration for the many projects that are being carried out. in the newly created North Western Region. as a whole, and in the Bibiani Anhwiaso Bekwai municipality in particular.

Ogyeahohoo Gyebi continued: “In Sefwi, we can all see the many road works, such as Bibiani town roads, classroom blocks, dormitories and canteens in our schools, such as Sefwi Bekwai Senior High School, restrooms, administrative buildings and other facilities for our new region.
“My people are happy, and we will continue to thank and reward them,” he promised.
Vice President Bawumia praised the MP for Bibiani-Anhwiaso-Bekwai, who is also the regional minister, Hon Kingsley Aboagye-Gyedu, whose instrumentality led to the establishment of the school.
The government of President Akufo-Addo will continue to develop Ghana’s human resources, he said.
