Barcelona is Joaquin’s Favorite Victim – Ghana Soccer Latest News, Live Scores, Results

Barcelona host Real Betis at LaLiga Santander next weekend and Marc-Andre ter Stegen could have to deliver as good a performance as he did midweek against Dynamo Kyiv.

The Catalans have had problems at the national level so far this season and Betis comes as a serious threat, especially with Joaquín in their squad. The veteran enjoys playing against the Blaugrana more than against any other rival, scoring six goals in his career.

“The idea is to win, whatever happens,” Joaquín explained to Onda Cero. “When you go to the Camp Nou you have to be perfect, compete until the end and score the chances you have.”

Joaquín’s last goal at the Camp Nou came two years ago with Quique Setién, when the Andalusians won 4-3 in an incredible match.

“We will go there with the same idea as that time,” explained Joaquín. “We will go with all our weapons ready and knowing that we will have to give 200 percent, being aware of the difficulty we face.”

In 2004/05, the Spanish soccer icon scored two goals in a 3-3 draw against the Catalans.

Despite his good personal stats, Joaquín has only beaten Barcelona once in Catalonia, with that 4-3 win two years ago.

In 28 games in total against Barça, Joaquín has six wins and four draws
