During the summer there were numerous reports that Barcelona wanted to sign Gini Wijnaldum.
As soon as Ronald Koeman took office at the Camp Nou, rumors began, the newspapers insisting that he wanted to bring his compatriots to Catalonia.
One outlet went so far as to claim that Koeman had made the Reds midfielder his “top priority.”
Mundo Deportivo has now claimed that Barcelona will try to sign Gini Wijnaldum in January, as part of a triple hit alongside Memphis Depay and Eric Garcia.

Given that the Dutchman is in the last year of his contract at Anfield, the Blaugrana will be free to negotiate a pre-contract with Gini from January.
The Reds could be forced to negotiate a sale in January, otherwise they risk losing the midfielder for free in the summer.
Fingers crossed that it doesn’t come to this. The 29-year-old still has years left at the top, he has something of a motor in him, his athleticism should carry him into his 30s.
It would be heartbreaking to lose it, but we will stand behind whatever decision you make, you deserve it.
