Spain’s top-flight club Atlético de Madrid plans to replace key player Thomas Partey with France-born Ghanaian Elisha Owusu as an EPL team, and Arsenal continue to search for his signature.
Owusu, who joined KAA Gent from Lyon and has been in great shape, is being courted by the Spanish team as an excellent replacement for the newly appointed Ghana Black Stars deputy captain, Partey.
Defensive midfielder in the form of KAA Gent would switch to play with coach Diego Simeon in one of the biggest European leagues in the world, La Liga, if both parties meet the terms of condition.
22-year-old budding talent Owusu made 27 appearances with KAA Gent on the 2019/2020 Belgian top flight.
Owusu has a contract with KAA Gent until 2023.
Meanwhile, Ghana continues to pursue the former FC Sochaux player to play for the Black Stars.
