ATLETICO MADRID defender Renan Lodi reportedly tested positive for coronavirus with nine others considered immune after tests by the entire squad.
LaLiga teams are carefully approaching a return to training this month with organized tests for each player before they can rejoin their teammates.
However, EFE reports that Lodi, 22, has a coronavirus and therefore will not be able to start work for at least ten days.
The same outlet says that nine players were shown to have antibodies to repel the disease, suggesting they may have already caught and recovered it, and are now immune.
It was not confirmed that any Atleti player fell ill before Spain instigated a blockade that is now slowly easing after 26,299 confirmed deaths.
According to AS, Lodi was known to have symptoms in early March and will remain in quarantine until a negative result occurs for the disease.
The player suffered respiratory difficulties and has stayed at home with his partner, who has also shown symptoms of pandemic disease.
Atlético last played on March 11, a Champions League victory against Liverpool that has been questioned for allowing fans to enter Anfield.
Any case of coronavirus could jeopardize LaLiga’s plans to end the 2019/20 calendar.
Neither Barcelona nor Real Madrid are said to have any cases after testing in their squads, but RAC-1 claims that five unidentified players at the top levels of Spanish football have the virus.

Two of the footballers are believed to be in the Second Division with three parts of the LaLiga teams.
Training staff and all employees who come into close contact with team members are also being evaluated as part of soccer’s return to the country.
The training exercises will adhere to the guidelines for social distancing prior to the start of games on June 20 as part of a five-week schedule to end the season.
