Atlético de Madrid remain the only undefeated team in La Liga in 2020/21 after securing a 3-1 win at Osasuna.
The victory places Diego Simeone’s team in third place in the table, behind Real Sociedad and Real Madrid, despite the fact that neither Diego Costa nor Luis Suárez appear at El Sadar.
Costa still has a week to go before returning from an injury and Simeone opted to rest Suárez for the trip to Pamplona.
However, Portuguese international Joao Félix showed that he is more than capable of leading Atlético’s attack with a goal on either side of the break.
The visitors started off brilliantly against Jagoba Arrasate’s side with Koke denied by Sergio Herrera.
But Simeone’s side came forward just before the break when Felix converted from spot after Herrera knocked down Vitolo inside the area.
The former Benfica star had the perfect opportunity to repeat his trick right after the restart, as Oier Sanjurjo drove into the box, but his steadfast effort hit the post.
João Félix misses from the point and Correa can’t save the rebound! 😱

Atlético refused to be deterred in their effort for the three points, with Herrera once again called into action to save Ángel Correa and Kieran Trippier.
The pressure from the visiting team finally paid off when Felix shot home a spectacular second in 70 minutes.

Osausuna woke up in the final stages with Ante Budimir heading home, but Lucas Torreira scored his first Atletico Madrid goal with three minutes at home to secure victory.
