The Secretary General of the Democratic National Congress, Johnson Asiedu Nketia, addresses the media about the results of the general elections.
Ghanaians went to the polls on Monday, December 7, 2020, to cast their vote to elect a president and 275 members of Parliament.
The opposition Democratic National Congress in an earlier briefing on Monday, December 7, alleged that there were some voting irregularities in some parts of the country while the voting process was underway.
The Electoral Commission, for its part, has asked the leaders and candidates of political parties to refrain from issuing “unverified statements” in the ongoing 2020 electoral process.
The development comes after reports alleging that a man had attempted to fill the ballot boxes with already thumb-printed ballots that the Commission has discredited as false.
