The president of the Suame Magazine section of the New Patriotic Party (PNP) says he is confident that residents of the Ashanti region will vote “overwhelmingly” to keep Akufo-Addo in the December elections.

Cisse Abdul Rahman Mahama said: “I have no doubt that the people of Suame Magazine and, in particular, the people of Ashanti will retain Akufo-Addo in an overwhelming way.”

Popularly known as Alhaji Pounds, he said that the president has outperformed former President John Mahama and the NDC in all aspects of the economy.

“If you compare records objectively, Akufo-Addo has done better than Mahama and there is no point in allowing Mahama to return. We want to maintain this growth path ”, he told the media.
