New Patriotic Party parliamentary candidate for Bantama, Francis Asenso-Boakye on Saturday, October 31, led thousands of residents on a campaign walk.
Nicknamed the “Bantama Big Walk”, participants met at Kumasi Girls’ High School, Abrepo at 5 am and walked the main streets of Bantama to the Kumasi Cultural Center.
Addressing the meeting at the Kumasi Cultural Center, Mr. Asenso-Boakye appealed to the electorate to vote en masse for him and President Akufo-Addo to allow the PNP to continue the “good works”.
Speaking to the crowd, Asenso-Boakye said that he was proud to be a Bantama native and also to have the opportunity to represent the PNP in the December 7 elections.
The Deputy Chief of Staff of the Presidency stated that the exceptional performance of the Akufo-Addo government is due to the fact that all its policies and programs are well thought out, unlike the policies of the opposition NDC.
“If you go to almost every community in Ghana today, you can point out something important done by this government. This is because we carefully plan our programs before implementing them. “
Calling for unity among the party’s rank and file, Asenso-Boakye emphasized that the participation of former Bantama MPs, namely Cecilia Dapaah, Henry Kokofi and incumbent MP Daniel Okyem Aboagye, in the event, contributes greatly to promoting peace in the constituency.
He charged voters to ensure that they also do their part to promote peaceful elections.
The event was attended by the Minister of Commerce and Industry, Mr. Alan Kwadwo Kyerematen; Member of Parliament for Suame, Osei Kyei Mensah Bonsu, Minister of Education and Member of Parliament for Manhyia South, Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh, and many others.
