Asante Kotoko’s business manager, Eric Amoako Twum, has revealed that the club will sign a partnership agreement with pay-TV giants StarTimes.

The deal, he said, will help the club to be able to broadcast its matches to the international community to allow its fans around the world to watch matches live and also attract potential sponsors.

“Live game streaming in this era is very important and possible due to technology. Our plan is to sign an agreement with StarTimes to give the opportunity for those outside of Ghana to watch our games on their phones,” Amoako Twum told OTEC FM from Kumasi.

“That is also an avenue to generate some revenue for the team and the partners, but we will first contract the GFA for possible approval following the current agreement between them,” he added.

Asante Kotoko signed a collaboration agreement with StarTimes during his participation in the 2018 CAF Confederation Cup to broadcast his matches live on television.
