Ghanaian giant Asante Kotoko shook off a scare in the second half at Ebony FC to crush the bottom division team in a friendly on Saturday morning.

The Porcupine Warriors, rigorously preparing ahead of the second round of the Ghana Premier League, had a tough test at Adako Jachie despite winning the game 5-2.

Kotoko burst into a blast in the first half after scoring three unanswered goals. Godfred Asiamah, Naby Keita and Patrick Asmah hit the mark for the Premier League team.

But Ebony FC came back from halftime to produce a spirited performance that saw them score two goals in the space of two minutes.

With the game change in Ebony FC’s favor, new signing Solomon Sarfo Taylor extended Kotoko’s lead.

Guinean forward Naby Laye Keita completed the scoring with a good shot in the 84th minute.

The game is the Reds’ first training game since the league was discontinued.

The Porcupine Warriors are fourth after the league first round with one game down.
