Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has said he is working closely with manager Edu as the duo brace for an “unpredictable” transfer market in January.
When asked about possible comings and goings next month during a press conference, Arteta said: “We are planning, talking to Edu and the club about things we can do in January.
“But right now it is quite difficult, unpredictable also in terms of places where we are very restricted at the moment.
“We will see what happens, I think things will move in the market, we will be prepared, we will have to do something knowing the limitations of that market in January and the limitations that we also have to sign players.”
Lyon’s Houssem Aouar and Red Bull Salzburg’s Dominik Szoboszlai have been most closely linked to the North London moves, while Inter Milan’s Christian Eriksen and Norwich City’s Emiliano Buendia have also been mentioned as potential winter signings.
Arsenal, which lost to Wolves on Sunday, are 14th in the Premier League after 10 games and Arteta said they were not on track to meet their targets.
Who will they manage to bring?
