RB Leipzig reportedly intends to sign Szoboszlai when the window opens and immediately loan him to Salzburg.
Arsenal may look to take a similar approach to winning the race for the Hungary international.
Szoboszlai has impressed so far this season, scoring five goals and providing nine assists in 14 appearances for Salzburg.
Lascelles lifts the lid on Arsenal interest
Newcastle United defender Jamal Lascelles has revealed that Arsenal were interested in signing him.
The 27-year-old joined the Magpies in 2014 after emerging as a talented youngster with Nottingham Forest.
And he has admitted that the Gunners were monitoring his availability at the time of his move to St James’ Park.
