Arsenal’s hectic match schedule continues apace. The Gunners were left with the 3-0 winners in Molde on Thursday with a much-changed team, but need more points on the board in the Premier League before Sunday night’s visit to Wolves.
The club is likely to consider renewing its options in the January window should opportunities arise, particularly in midfield and attack.
There are also peripheral figures in the club who did not move in the summer window, and this time the possibility of their exits will arise again.
Here are the latest Arsenal transfer rumors for Friday, November 27.
Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has asked the club’s hierarchy to approve a January loan of Real Madrid playmaker Isco.
Details are outlined in a Central Defense report, cited by Sport Witness, which states that the Gunners could work out a loan agreement for the player before signing him permanently in the summer.
Arsenal already have Spanish midfielder Dani Ceballos on loan from Madrid and that could tempt Isco to the Emirates.
However, Madrid would prefer to sell Isco permanently in January, according to the report.
Arsenal forward Folarin Balogun scored his first goal for the club in Thursday’s 3-0 win over Molde, but could leave at the end of the campaign when he becomes a free agent.
Arteta is eager to tie the 19-year-old to a new deal, but talks have not progressed in recent months.
Arteta said after the game at Balogun, according to the Mirror: “Well deserved for the boy. He is working very hard. He had some difficult months with all the speculation around him, he has handled the situation in a really mature way.
“He wants to stay, we want him to stay. We gave him the opportunity and he took it immediately. “
Lyon have eliminated Houssem Aouar, a longtime target for the Gunners, from their team of the day this weekend for disciplinary reasons.
The star midfielder was an unused substitute against Angers last weekend and that sparked a series of events that have seen him shut out completely this weekend.
According to L’Equipe, the midfielder has been disciplined for not wanting to warm up with his teammates after the game.
It is claimed that the Ligue 1 club’s sporting director Juninho and football director Vincent Ponsot, with the consent of President Jean-Michel Aulas, have decided to discipline Aouar for this weekend’s home clash against him Reims.
Aouar was strongly linked to Arsenal in the summer transfer window, but no move materialized.
